My Favorite Place is Sigiriya Rock

Sigiriya is an amazing geological formation in Sri Lanka that encompasses an important archaeological site😘. Sigiriya lies 22 km north-east of Dambulla in the North Central Province of Sri Lanka. It was built by King Kashyapa🤴 (CE 477–495). The tourist site of Sigiriya has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1982 and is part of the seven world heritage sites of Sri Lanka.

Key features

Lion Gate: The entrance once passed through a lion statue; today, only the massive stone paws remain.

Sigiriya Frescoes: Famous ancient wall paintings of celestial maidens, unique in South Asia.

Mirror Wall: Polished wall with ancient graffiti—some of the earliest known Sinhala writings.

Water Gardens: Symmetrical, sophisticated garden systems considered among the oldest landscaped gardens in the world.

Summit ruins: Foundations of the royal palace with panoramic views.

We need to preserve Sigiriya Rock to visit our future generation❤️🥰. And there is necessary implementing a proper tourism planning to avoid the over tourism concept which happened in Sigiriya Rock & the areas surrounding Sigiriya. 🖤🌎
